6 Important Graphs

1. Look at the graph. The graph shows us the percentage of the world population belonging to the different religions.



 
 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ans: The graph shows us the percentage of the world population belonging to the different religions. In the graph we can notice some changes the percentage of the world population belonging to the different religions. Most of the people believe in Christianity. 30% people are Christians.  Believers of Buddhism are around 28%. 25% people believe in Islam. 10% people of the world are Hindus and the people who believe in other religions are 5%. Only 2% people are non-believers. They do not believe in God.


2. Look at the graph. The following graph shows the literacy rate of Bangladesh between 1972 and 2012.



 
 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


Ans: The graph shows us the literacy rate of Bangladesh between 1972 and 2012. In the graph we can notice some changes the literacy rate of Bangladesh in different years.  In 1972, the literacy rate was only 30%. It slightly increased for the next 10 years. For the next 20 years, the increase was very pleasant and in 2002 the rate was almost 70% . The rate slightly increased by the year of 2007. It has been continued for the next five years. Finally it becomes almost 90% in 2012.

Ans: The graph/chart shows us the attitude to pastimes of the elderly people in different years. In the graph we can notice some changes people’s attitude to pastimes. In 1990, 32% of elderly people spent time watching TV which was 41% in 2000 and 49% in 2010. The percentage of playing cards was 34% in 1990, 36% in 2000 and 49% in 2010. On the other hand the percentage of elderly people’s time spending on drawing room chats was 17% in 1990, 12% in 2000 and 6% in 2010. Moreover, people spent 17% of their time in other activities in 1990, 11% in 2000 and 7% in 2010.Thus we see that the attitude to pastimes of the elderly people is changing.

Ans: The graph/chart shows us average temperature of the year 2010 in Bangladesh. In the graph we can notice some changes the temperature of the year. January 10oC , February 20oC , March 28oC , April 30oC , May 34oC , June 35oC , July 35oC , August 34oC , September 34oC , October 30oC , November 25oC , December 15oC . The graph also shows that the lowest temperature of the year was in January and the highest was in June and July.  From February till September the temperature increased drastically. In October and November the temperature decreased slightly. But in December and January there was noticeable decrease in temperature.

 

5.     Look at the graph. The graph shows us Irana’s scores in examination


 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ans: The graph/chart shows us Irana’s scores in examination. In the graph we can notice some changes of Irana’s scores in examination. She has secured 80 in English,70 in Bangla, 85 in Physics, 95 in Maths, 80 in Biology and 75 in Chemisty. She got the highest score in mathematics and the lowest score in Bangla. She got the same marks in English and Bailogy.

Ans: The graph/chart shows us the population of Bangladesh from 2000 to 2012. In the graph we can notice some changes the growth of population over these years.  It is seen that in 2000 the population was 126 million which rose to 164 million in 2012. The increase of population from 2000 to 2002 was gradual but 2003 to 2009, it increased very rapidly. There was slight increase of population from 2009 to 2010. Finally there was noticeable increase of population from 2010 to 2012.
