• What is Preposition: A word, usually preceding, a noun or pronoun and expressing a relation to another word is called Preposition. Preposition plays a vital role in English grammar.

Preposition
In	উপরে	He is in the room.	outside	বাইরে	Look outside.
On	লাগালাগি অবস্থায় উপরে	He sat on a table.	inside	ভিতরে	Look inside the pot.
at	দিকে	Look at me.	over	উপরে	A bird is flying over his head.
to	প্রতি/দিকে	He went to school.	through	মধ্যে দিয়ে	He goes through the lines.
with	সাথে/দিয়ে	She lives with me.	of	র, এর	I told him of his illness.
for	জন্য	He was died for the country.	between	মধ্যে	There is no gap between of the two lines.
by	দ্বারা	He is killed by the man.	among	মধ্যে	Give the pens among the students.
into	বাইরে থেকে ভিতরে	He entered into the room.	within	মধ্যে	I will come back within a week.
before	আগে	Look before you leap.	under	নিচে	He lives under the sky.
after	পরে	He went to play after having lunch.	since	অতপর/থেকে	He has been watching the movie since Friday.
below	নিচে	His performance is below the mark.	without	ছাড়া	Man cannot live without oxygen.
down	নিচে	He is getting down the train.	across	মধ্যে দিয়ে	He passed across the field.
from	হতে,থেকে	He is from Narsingdi.	off	বিচ্যুতি	Switch  the fan off.
along	সাথে	He lives along with his aunt .	against	বিরুদ্ধে	He is against the law.
about	সর্ম্পকে/প্রায়	I know about him.	in front of	সামনে	He sat in front of me.
regarding	বিষয়ে	I know regarding the book.	according to	অনুসারে	He is working according my direction.
beneath	নিচে	There is a pen beneath the table.	in spite of	সত্বেও	He joined the party in spite of his illness.
beyond	বাইরে	This math is beyond my understanding.	instead of	পরিবর্তে	He took biology instead of higher math.
during	সময়ে	During winter, I went to India.	past	অতিক্রম	It is half past ten.
while	যখন	I saw him while playing.	till	পযর্ন্ত	Wait here till I return.
except	ব্যতিত	They are my friend except you.	toward	দিকে	He is leaving toward his house.
