The Padma Bridge is one of the largest projects and most visionary initiatives in Bangladesh. It links Shariatpur's Janjira and Munshiganj's Mawa. The Padma Bridge spans Bangladesh's Padma River and serves both road traffic and rail traffic. It will rank as the sixth-largest multipurpose bridge in the world. The country's capital and eastern area will be connected to the country's south-west by the Padma Bridge. The Bangladeshi government is currently funding the project with its own funds. On December 12, 2015, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina lay the first stone of the Padma Bridge. The Padma Bridge is 18.10 meters wide and 6.15 kilometers long overall. There is a single lane of rail road bridge and a four lane highway. There are 41 spans in all on the bridge. China Major Bridge Engineering Corporation is the bridge's builder. The bridge is made of steel and is a truss bridge. The bridge will expand the nation's communication infrastructure. Residents of the south-west should expect a revolutionary transformation in their way of life. Regional companies will be expanded to support this. Additionally, it will have a significant impact on Bangladesh's economy. There will be more prospects for employment and industrial development. In addition to the economy and transportation infrastructure growing, it will also be simpler to access educational and medical resources.

পদ্মা সেতু বাংলাদেশের অন্যতম বৃহত্তম প্রকল্প এবং সবচেয়ে দূরদর্শী উদ্যোগ। এটি শরীয়তপুরের জাঞ্জিরা এবং মুন্সীগঞ্জের মাওয়াকে সংযুক্ত করেছে। পদ্মা সেতু বাংলাদেশের পদ্মা নদীর উপর বিস্তৃত এবং সড়ক ও রেল ট্রাফিক উভয় পরিষেবা প্রদান করে। এটি বিশ্বের ষষ্ঠ বৃহত্তম বহুমুখী সেতু হিসাবে স্থান পাবে। পদ্মা সেতুর মাধ্যমে দেশের রাজধানী ও পূর্বাঞ্চল দেশের দক্ষিণ-পশ্চিমাঞ্চলের সঙ্গে যুক্ত হবে। বাংলাদেশ সরকার বর্তমানে নিজস্ব তহবিল দিয়ে প্রকল্পটির অর্থায়ন করছে। 2015 সালের 12 ডিসেম্বর প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনা পদ্মা সেতুর প্রথম প্রস্তর স্থাপন করেন। পদ্মা সেতু 18.10 মিটার চওড়া এবং 6.15 কিলোমিটার দীর্ঘ। রেল সড়ক সেতুর এক লেন এবং চার লেনের মহাসড়ক রয়েছে। সেতুটিতে মোট ৪১টি স্প্যান রয়েছে। চায়না মেজর ব্রিজ ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিং কর্পোরেশন সেতুটির নির্মাতা। সেতুটি স্টিলের তৈরি এবং এটি একটি ট্রাস ব্রিজ। সেতুটি দেশের যোগাযোগ অবকাঠামোকে প্রসারিত করবে। দক্ষিণ-পশ্চিমের বাসিন্দাদের তাদের জীবনযাত্রায় একটি বৈপ্লবিক পরিবর্তন আশা করা উচিত। এটি সমর্থন করার জন্য আঞ্চলিক সংস্থাগুলিকে সম্প্রসারিত করা হবে। উপরন্তু, এটি বাংলাদেশের অর্থনীতিতে উল্লেখযোগ্য প্রভাব ফেলবে। কর্মসংস্থান এবং শিল্প বিকাশের আরও সম্ভাবনা থাকবে। অর্থনীতি এবং পরিবহন পরিকাঠামো বৃদ্ধির পাশাপাশি, শিক্ষা ও চিকিৎসা সংস্থানগুলি অ্যাক্সেস করাও সহজ হবে।
